The Residency Experience camp is designed for motivated boys ages 12-16 years of age who play at competitive levels and who are keen to experience one of the best full-time residencies and academies in Oceania.

    The 2025 CUFC Residency Experience camp is limited to 14 spots and is specifically designed for motivated players in the U13-U17 age groups who are currently playing competitive or academy-level football.

    • Morning and afternoon training sessions will focus on developing players in the CUFC possession-oriented model of play. Inspired by our developmental partners TOVO Academy Barcelona, the emphasis is on nurturing each players cognition, competence, and character.

    • Developmental themes will include perception, decision-making, individual positional play, technical and transitional excellence.

    • Over the four days of training the players will also experience position-specific training (including goalkeepers) and have methodology and classroom video sessions designed to increase each players knowledge of the game and inspire them to continue on their path to the next levels.

    • Evening match play with other highly motivated players from the CUFC academy will cap off each day and help ensure that each young player is developing and building confidence to compete when the time comes.

I've Registered. what happens next?
Upon completed online registration, families will receive a welcome call from
CUFC Head of Academy, Paul Holocher, to answer any further preparation
questions for CUFC Residency Experience Camp.
wHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CAMP?
The purpose of the camp is to enjoy, learn and develop together, while providing motivated young players an opportunity to experience life of a full-time resident.

As these camps are limited in size (12-14 players), our goal is to provide strong individual
feedback and help inspire each player to reach the next level.
wHAT IS THE arrival/orientation process?
There will be a welcome orientation on the first day of camp.

Players and families should arrive at the United Sports Centre on the first Saturday at 1pm.
Where do we fly into and is there transport to and from airport?
You will fly into Christchurch International Airport.

Yes, transport to and from the United Sports Centre will be organized and made available for all our residency experience camp players/families.
Where will the players be staying?
The residency experience players will be staying in our newly renovated Residency Home
located on the United Sports Centre and only 2-minute walk from CUFC training facilities.

o Full kitchen with two refrigerators, oven, and micro-wave
o Large living room to relax with TV, loungers.
o Four large (4) Bedrooms - which will host 2-3 per room.
o Two (2) Bathrooms and Showers
o Study / Film Room.
o Laundry Area with washer and dryer + outdoor drying lines
o Large private backyard with additional areas to relax, including BBQ area.
o Onsite - FT Residency Manager / Assistant Residency Manager
o Healthy meals / nutrition provided during the camp.
What should the players bring?
Residency experience camp players will be playing a lot of football.
They should travel light, including:

o Casual dress and footwear.
o Football boots and extra training gear.
o Toiletries

Housekeeping: All beds, pillows, and linens are provided.

Food: Nutritious meals are provided throughout the camp by our experienced staff.
