Christchurch Football Academy, located at Yaldhurst, has been operating since the 17th of March 2014 as the first South Island club offering year-round training for football players.
In 2016, Christchurch United Football Academy merged with Christchurch United Football Club, which was recognised as the best NZ club between 1970-1995.
Christchurch United Football Club was one of the founding clubs of the New Zealand National Soccer League in 1970.
We have won six National League Titles, six English Cups, and six Chatham Cups. Including the two famous doubles in 1975 and 1991. In 2022 our Mens First Team won the Southern League and our Womens First Team won the Championship.

Home of Ambitious Players
The Club produced a number of great players including 44 who went on to play for the All Whites.
Steve Sumner and Ryan Nelsen were the captains of the NZ National teams at the 1982 and 2010 World Cups.
All these legendary players wore the blue and white uniform of CUFC in the prime of their careers.
The Academy is at the heart of the Christchurch United Football Club and our goal is to help our players become the best version of themselves while maximising their full potential.

This book introduces our Academy Programme and outlines the pathway for Young Player Development. It has been developed to help young players and their parents make an informed decision about joining the Christchurch United Football Academy. The Academy is the heart of our Club, so our goal is to develop each Academy player to their full potential and build life-long skills.
