What a tournament!!

We have just completed the 6th Christchurch International Cup 2021 - 76 teams playing across 5 different age groups over 9 days.

This annual football tournament was established in 2015 with the ambition to unite teams from the Trans-Tasman to learn and upskill one another.

With Covid still in full force we were not able to have teams from Australia this year but had an outstanding number of 41 teams attend the tournament from out of town. This allowed all local teams to compete against teams that they would not normally play against in the general winter season.

The weather generally behaved allowing the tournament to run like clockwork. This year we live streamed both the 13th and 14th grade finals which saw close to 2000 people watching the game on the YouTube livestream link that could not attend the tournament.
